Personal files of emigrants of the 1920s from the USSR as a source for biographical research

Abstract: The aim of this work is to systematize and analyze the personal files of potential emigrants of the 20s of the 20th century from Ukraine overseas from the fund of the Kiev department of the Russian-Canadian-American passenger agencyof the State Archives of the Kiev oblast. The author used the methods of analysis, synthesis, statistics, source-study heuristics and criticism in the research. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the involvement and processing of previously unexplored archival documents and materials of interest for the study of emigration from the Ukrainian Socialist Soviet Republic and the biography, genealogy of the participants of this process.
