Systematization and improvement of the forms of publicizing numerous oral historical biographical materials – testimonies of participants and witnesses of war events, which are currently collected by professional researchers and amateurs, state institutions, public organizations, and volunteers – are of particular importance in modern conditions. In addition to the high patriotic, mobilizing role that these documents play in uniting Ukrainian society, establishing a general belief in victory, professional researchers should work to collect and preserve for posterity documentary sources that reveal the feat of our people through a collective portrait of compatriots.
